Othersyders Referral Program — Frequently Asked Questions

1. What is the Othersyders Referral Program?

The Othersyders Referral Program gives you the opportunity to earn money by referring people to Othersyders and the products, services, subscriptions, and other opportunities available throughout the site.

When someone you refer makes a qualifying purchase, subscription, or other qualifying transaction, you can receive a 10% commission on the qualifying sale.

2. Who can become a Referral Partner?

Anyone who meets the program's eligibility requirements can apply.

You do not have to be a professional salesperson, own a business, have a large social-media following, or have previous sales experience.

You simply need to be able to introduce people to Othersyders in a legitimate and honest way.

3. Do I have to buy something from Othersyders to become a Referral Partner?

No.

You do not have to purchase products, subscriptions, or services from Othersyders simply to participate in the Referral Program.

4. How do I sign up?

Complete the Referral Program form on the sign up page.

You'll provide your basic contact information, how you want to be identified when someone says you referred them, and how you want to receive your commissions.

Your application may be reviewed before you are approved as a Referral Partner.

5. How much can I earn?

The standard commission is 10% of qualifying sales.

For example, if someone you referred makes a qualifying $100 purchase, your commission would be $10.

There is no guaranteed amount that you will earn. Your earnings depend on how many people you refer and whether those referrals result in qualifying transactions.

6. What can I refer people to?

You can introduce people to the many different things available through Othersyders.

Depending on the applicable program and transaction, this can include:

  • Sici Design Works

  • First Looks Club

  • Black Label designs

  • Products and merchandise

  • Music and instrumentals

  • Recipes and digital products

  • Artwork and designs

  • Creative services

  • Custom projects

  • Consultations

  • Advertising opportunities

  • Othersyders communities and groups

  • Other qualifying products and services

Othersyders is continually expanding, so additional products and services may become eligible for referral commissions in the future.

7. Can I refer someone to Sici Design Works?

Yes, provided the transaction qualifies under the Referral Program.

Sici Design Works currently offers a subscription to a catalog of more than 4,000 commercial designs for $49.99 per month.

If someone you refer subscribes through a qualifying transaction and properly identifies you as their referrer, you may receive the applicable referral commission.

8. Can I refer someone to First Looks Club?

Yes, if the transaction qualifies under the Referral Program.

First Looks Club is currently a $199.99-per-month membership providing access to its designated members-only design collection. Individual designs are purchased separately from the membership.

The commission applies according to the referral terms that are in effect for the qualifying transaction.

9. Can I refer businesses to Othersyders?

Absolutely.

Othersyders is designed for creatives, entrepreneurs, businesses, designers, artists, musicians, and people looking for commercial and creative opportunities.

Businesses may be interested in everything from commercial designs and licensing to creative services, advertising, merchandise, music, artwork, and other opportunities.

10. Can I refer people to Black Label?

Potentially, but there is an important distinction.

Othersyders has a separate Black Label Agent program specifically designed for people selling Black Label exclusive design licenses. That program has its own compensation structure, requirements, and terms.

The general Referral Program should not be assumed to replace or override the Black Label Agent program. Specifically, only Black Label Agents will receive the royalties associated with that program.

If you are specifically interested in selling Black Label licenses, you should apply for the Black Label Agent opportunity instead.

11. Do I have to sell anything myself?

No.

You are not responsible for processing the customer's payment, delivering their product, fulfilling their order, or providing their service.

Your primary job is to introduce people to Othersyders and make sure they identify you as the person who referred them.

12. How do I get credit for a referral?

The person you refer needs to identify you as their referrer.

They can provide your approved referral name, referral code, or other identifying information requested by Othersyders.

This is important because not every referral will be automatically tracked through the website.

Please direct referrals to this page: REFFERAL REPORTING PAGE.

13. Should I have a referral code?

Your referral code will be your name with your chosen cashtag/payment e-mail, we recommend giving that info to the people you refer.

14. What if the person forgets to mention my name?

We will do our best to verify legitimate referrals when possible, but a commission is not guaranteed if there is no reasonable way to establish that you made the referral.

That's why it is important to tell people to identify you before or when they make their purchase or contact Othersyders.

15. When do I get paid?

A commission is paid after the qualifying transaction has been verified and any applicable refund, cancellation, or chargeback period has been addressed.

Payment timing may vary depending on the transaction and payment-processing circumstances, but will be paid 5-7 business days after payment processing.

16. How will I receive my money?

The available payment methods may include Cash App or PayPal, depending on the options provided by Othersyders.

You are responsible for providing accurate payment information.

17. What happens if someone I referred gets a refund?

If a qualifying transaction is refunded, cancelled, charged back, reversed, or determined to be invalid, the associated commission may be withheld or reversed.

You cannot permanently earn a commission from a sale that Othersyders ultimately does not keep.

18. Can I refer myself?

No.

You cannot purchase something through your own referral, create another account to disguise a self-referral, or use another person's identity or payment information to generate a commission for yourself.

19. Can I refer my friends and family?

Yes.

Friends, family members, coworkers, business contacts, social-media followers, and other people in your network can be legitimate referrals.

The important thing is that they are genuinely interested in Othersyders and identify you as their referrer.

20. Can I promote Othersyders on social media?

Yes.

Social media can be one of the easiest ways to introduce people to Othersyders.

You can share your own genuine experience, tell people about products or services you think they may like, and direct them to Othersyders.

You must not make false claims or misrepresent your relationship with Othersyders.

21. Can I promote Othersyders on my own website or blog?

Yes, provided your promotion complies with the Referral Program Terms & Conditions and applicable advertising laws.

You may use approved Othersyders promotional materials when available.

22. Can I send people direct messages?

You may personally contact people who are reasonably interested in what you're offering, but you may not use spam, automated mass messaging, harassment, or other abusive promotional methods.

You are responsible for complying with applicable advertising and anti-spam requirements.

23. Can I tell people how much money they can make?

You can explain how the Referral Program works, including the 10% commission structure.

However, you cannot guarantee that someone will make a particular amount of money.

Your own earnings are not a guarantee of what another Referral Partner will earn.

24. Can I call myself an Othersyders employee?

No.

Referral Partners are independent participants in the program.

You may identify yourself as an Othersyders Referral Partner or another designation approved by Othersyders, but you should not represent yourself as an employee, owner, officer, or official spokesperson unless you have separately been authorized to do so.

25. Do I have to disclose that I receive a commission?

When you're promoting Othersyders publicly, you may be required to disclose your financial relationship with Othersyders.

For example, you may say:

“I may receive a commission if you purchase through my referral.”

Your disclosures should be truthful and presented clearly enough that people understand your relationship with Othersyders.

26. Can I create advertisements for Othersyders?

You can promote Othersyders through your own legitimate promotional activities, provided they follow the Referral Program rules.

If you want to purchase advertising space on Othersyders, that is a separate advertising relationship and is not automatically included with participation in the Referral Program.

27. Can I use the Othersyders logo?

Only use Othersyders logos, graphics, promotional materials, or other branding that Othersyders has authorized for Referral Partners.

You cannot modify the branding in a way that misrepresents Othersyders or makes it appear that your website or business is officially operated by Othersyders.

28. What happens if two people claim the same referral?

Othersyders will review the available information and determine which Referral Partner, if any, should receive credit.

Simply claiming that someone was your referral does not automatically establish entitlement to a commission.

29. What if my referral purchases several things?

If the transactions qualify under the Referral Program, multiple qualifying purchases may generate commissions according to the applicable program rules.

However, some products, services, subscriptions, or external transactions may have different commission rules or may not qualify.

30. Do I earn money forever from someone I refer?

Not necessarily.

A qualifying transaction may generate a commission, but you should not assume that every future purchase made by the same customer will automatically generate another commission.

Recurring subscriptions and repeat purchases are subject to the commission rules applicable to the particular product, service, or program.

31. Can I earn commissions from purchases made outside Othersyders?

Not automatically.

If a transaction takes place through an outside marketplace, website, payment system, or third-party service that Othersyders cannot verify, Othersyders may be unable to award a referral commission.

32. Can I participate if I live outside the United States?

Participation may be available to people outside the United States, subject to eligibility, payment availability, applicable law, and any restrictions that apply to the Referral Program.

International participants are responsible for understanding and complying with the laws and tax requirements that apply to them.

33. Are referral commissions taxable?

Referral commissions may be taxable income.

You are responsible for understanding and complying with the tax laws applicable to you.

Othersyders may request tax information or provide tax documents when required by law.

34. What happens if I violate the Referral Program rules?

Othersyders may suspend or terminate your participation.

Depending on the circumstances, commissions associated with fraudulent, invalid, or prohibited activity may be withheld or reversed.

Serious violations may result in immediate termination.

35. Can I join again if I am removed?

That depends on the circumstances.

Othersyders may allow someone to reapply, but reinstatement is not guaranteed.

36. Can the Referral Program change?

Yes.

Othersyders may change the commission structure, qualifying products, payment methods, eligibility requirements, referral procedures, or other aspects of the program.

Any applicable changes will be handled according to the Referral Program Terms & Conditions.

37. Does joining cost anything?

No. There is no purchase requirement simply to apply for the Referral Program, unless a particular program or opportunity specifically states otherwise.

38. Is this a job?

No.

The Referral Program is not employment.

You are participating as an independent Referral Partner and are responsible for your own promotional activities and expenses.

39. Is this a get-rich-quick program?

No.

There is no guaranteed income.

Your results depend on your ability to find people who are genuinely interested in Othersyders and who ultimately make qualifying purchases or use qualifying services.

The program is designed to give you an opportunity to earn from successful referrals, not to promise a particular income.

40. Where can I read the complete rules?

The complete Othersyders Referral Program Terms & Conditions govern participation in the program.

The FAQ is provided to make the program easier to understand, but if there is a conflict between this FAQ and the formal Terms & Conditions, the Referral Program Terms & Conditions control.
